CHINA IS SO ON!

I received my passport today, so we will be heading to China after all! Will he make it from New Hampshire?

Okay, so I got a little carried away with my rant about my passport dilemmas, but I forgot to inform you all that tomorrow my current passport will be enroute from New Hampshire! I guess theres a bit of hope that I will get it in the next 11 days! Wish me more luck! I'll need it!

Will China ACTUALLY be happening?

This question was commonly asked for many hours of January 19, 2010, only 12 day before our planned departure! Yesterday I thought there was a mere 50/50 shot of being able to go due to the incompetence of the US Passport Center. I will not bore you with the details unless you're dying to know. But I can tell you that if you're ever travelling overseas, please talk to me first! I've been on a hamster wheel of runarounds with the passport center. It's the mst poorly run establishment, getting nothing done, FAST! The workers at the Chinese Consulate actually has the right idea by pretending not to speak a word of English. That way, unsuspecting travellers will just cover their own butts and get 1o visas if need be! The workers at the Passport Center on the other hand, have too much to say, and none of it actually gets you anywhere! It's simply a hotline for you to rant about the issues with your passport. Don't bother! Call me instead, and I'll have the appropriate information for you. I had to learn it the hard way. Hopefully in the next 11 days I will be in coach comfort with my blowup air pillow, ipod and compression socks! Wish me luck!
